Add your DomainsOnline mailbox to the Gmail app or Samsung Email on your Android phone or tablet. You need the full e-mail address and the password of the mailbox.
The settings you need
- Username: your full e-mail address, for example info@mallawebstudio.co.za
- Password: the password of the mailbox (not your client area or cPanel password)
- Incoming server (IMAP): sg1-sr6.supercp.com, port 993, security SSL/TLS
- Outgoing server (SMTP): sg1-sr6.supercp.com, port 465, security SSL/TLS, sign-in required
Step by step in the Gmail app
The Gmail app is on most Android phones. The wording can differ a little between phones and app versions.
Open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture at the top right and tap Add another account.
Tap Other, type your full e-mail address and tap Manual setup.
Choose Personal (IMAP), type the mailbox password and tap Next.
-
On Incoming server settings:
- Username: your full e-mail address.
- Server: sg1-sr6.supercp.com
- If the app shows Port and Security type: 993 and SSL/TLS.
Tap Next.
-
On Outgoing server settings:
- Leave Require sign-in switched on.
- Username and Password: the same as for incoming mail.
- SMTP server: sg1-sr6.supercp.com
- If the app shows Port and Security type: 465 and SSL/TLS.
Tap Next.
Choose how often the app checks for new mail, tap Next, enter your name as it should appear on your e-mails and tap Next again.
Your mailbox now appears in the Gmail app's account list. Because IMAP keeps the mail on the server, you see the same messages in webmail and on your computer.
Samsung Email and other apps
In Samsung Email, add a new account, enter the e-mail address and password and tap Manual setup. Choose IMAP account and enter the values from the list above. Other mail apps ask for the same values.
Something not working?
- "Couldn't sign in" or "Authentication failed": check that the username is the full e-mail address, not only the part before the @. If you're not sure about the password, set a new one – see Change a mailbox password.
- You can receive but not send: open the account's outgoing server settings and check: sign-in required, port 465, SSL/TLS.
- New mail shows up late: the app only checks at the interval you chose in the last step. Change it in the app's account settings.
